Kindness prevents harm.
Kindness protects people.
Kindness changes lives.
Every day, across Australia, people in classrooms, workplaces and communities are experiencing emotional abuse, physical abuse and self-harm. My Acts of Kindness exists to change that, before it begins.
We prevent harm through the everyday power of kindness, delivering evidence-informed programs, technology and connected communities that give every person the skills and mindset to create environments where people feel seen, valued and safe.

Our Kindness Impact
Individuals
Your acts of kindness matter more than you know. In Australia, 1.7 million people have self-harmed at some point in their lives. Everyday connection and kindness help build the skills in people that can change these numbers.
Schools
Kindness can be taught — and the earlier, the better. Research shows children as young as 10 are presenting with repeat self-harm, yet most prevention work begins in high school. Our School’s Program targeted at K-6 builds connection and belonging before harm has the chance to form.
Corporates
Kind workplaces are stronger workplaces. Loneliness costs Australian businesses $16 billion a year. Disconnected, isolating cultures are a recognised risk factor for emotional abuse and self-harm in adults. MAOK equips teams to build cultures where people feel seen, valued and safe.
Charities
The most vulnerable people in our communities are often already being supported by incredible charities doing extraordinary work. MAOK partners with those organisations to help bring programs, technology and kindness frameworks to the communities they serve.
Case Study
Kindness in Action — St Kevin's Primary School, Eastwood
When St Kevin's Primary School in Sydney's northwest was looking for a way to strengthen relationships, build character and help every child feel seen and valued, they found MAOK.
The school introduced the My Acts of Kindness program and built this around the simple daily practice of One Smile, One Word, One Action — and it changed the culture of the school from the ground up.
The MAOK Story
"Kindness is how we change the world." — Bruno, Founder
Bruno Maurel, Founder of MAOK, has a vision: to build a harm prevention organisation powered by kindness. He brought together corporates, creatives and developers united by one belief: that kindness, taught early and practised every day, could prevent harm before it begins.
