Origin Story
In a world increasingly disconnected and isolated, Bruno Maurel set out on a mission to connect hearts and transform lives by creating a global movement of kindness.
With over 45 years of leadership, Bruno’s journey has always been about more than business—it’s been about people. From transforming Australia’s retail landscape to raising over $130 million for cancer research with Tour de Cure, his profound impact earned him the prestigious Order of Australia Medal (OAM).
My Acts of Kindness (MAOK) was born from Bruno’s unwavering belief that small, intentional acts of kindness can transform lives and communities. He views kindness not merely as a virtue, but as a catalyst for genuine connection, belonging, and joy—a force to heal fragmented societies.
Bruno’s leadership, along with the commitment and vision of the founding board and committee members, has shaped MAOK into more than just an idea—it’s a collective mission. Together, they share the belief that kindness can rebuild the fabric of society. MAOK embodies their shared vision for a world where kindness is not just a gesture, but a way of life, a daily commitment to making the world better, one act at a time.
